An Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis is required to obtain coverage for ABA services through your insurance provider. We do not perform evaluations, but please let us know if you need a referral. A diagnostic evaluation is typically performed by one of the following providers:

Child Psychiatrist or Psychologist

Pediatric Neurologist

Developmental Pediatrician

Behavioral Pediatrician

We will send an intake packet, including a simple questionnaire, consent forms, and notice of company practices. Copies of previous assessments (diagnostic evaluation, IEP documents, etc) will also be requested at this time.

With your permission, we will reach out to your insurance carrier and request funding authorization for your child’s assessment.

The Initial Assessment is comprised of parent interview, direct child observation, standardized assessment, and caregiver data collection. We will dedicate the time to understand why challenging behavior may be occurring, and how we can replace those behaviors with functional skills.

High Point ABA will generate a Treatment Plan. The treatment plan will identify goals and service recommendations to be reviewed by you and your funding agency.

Once services are approved by your insurance provider, we will select the best treatment team for your child’s needs.
